Near midnight on February 8, 2021, Maryland police officers responded to a multiple-vehicle car crash in Glen Bernie, MD.
The crash occurred when a black Mercedes-Benz E400 lost control and struck the rear bumper of a white Jeep Wrangler, forcing the Jeep to overturn. The driver of the Mercedes is suspected of having been under the influence of alcohol, and she fled the scene before being apprehended by officers.
The driver of the white Jeep Wrangler, 37-year-old Anthony Jean-Louis of Pasadena, crashed into a guardrail after his vehicle was flipped. He was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering fatal injuries. Jean-Louis was an Army veteran, having served as a cryptologic network warfare specialist in the Army Reserve and Army from May 2001 to November 2016.
